If you hear singing as you pass the Civic Centre today it’s probably because we’re testing out songs from the new Southampton Songbook 2014!
The songbook has been produced by the Music Project Association to celebrate Southampton’s 50 years of city status and was partly funded by the council’s Community Chest small grant scheme.
“The book explores Southampton’s history, people and landmarks through music and features contributions from songwriters, students and teachers across the city.”
The Music Project Association has given a free copy of the songbook to all schools in Southampton.
More information about the Music Project Association is available via the Southampton Music Hub: http://ift.tt/1CmCobV
