Time for Chessel Bay’s autumn clean-up
Chessel Bay, Southampton’s only Local Nature Reserve, is now due for it’s autumn clean-up, and you can lend a hand on Saturday, October 22. Southampton City Council and local volunteers will be meeting at the Bay on Saturday 22nd to have another go at the rubbish which accumulates there.
Chessel Bay is a very special area for wildlife, so it’s important that it’s cared for - litter is not only unsightly, but is a hazard to wildlife.  If you’d like to help, come along between 10 am and 2 pm on the day, wearing sturdy clothing.  You can get to Chessel Bay from Quayside Road.  Under 16’s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Please note there are no toilets on site and parking is very limited.
