Small Charity Week 11th -15th June – The Communities team will be taking part by holding live chats on Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday 13th June and will welcome questions or comments on community and voluntary group policies, all the why’s and how’s and when’s.

We will have two sessions, one in the morning, 11.30-12.30 and one in the afternoon 1.30-2.30pm, the first session will be answering general questions about why your community group need policies, what policies you should have in place and how you can adapt them to make them relevant to your group. The second session will focus more on community grants; why do grant applications often need to be submitted with the group’s policies and about the grant giving policy itself, why it is as it is.

You can ask questions on here and join in any existing discussions.

The Watch Your Step Campaign is underway and going well so far. If it is a success in Freemantle and Sholing the programme will be rolled out across the city over the summer.

It has been developed by SCC Parks & Street Cleansing in partnership with City Patrol, Hampshire Police, schools and residents’ groups to reduce dog fouling across the city.

2012 Weston Art Exhibition - This year’s theme is ‘Out and About’.
Entries from all age groups and of all art forms welcome, including poetry, photographs and knitting. Maximum size A3. For flat display. The exhibition is from July 9th for 6 weeks, at the surgery on Weston Lane.
Entries must be submitted to the reception desk at Weston Lane surgery from 25th-29th June. Entry is free.

With the art, could you add the name and age of artist (if child), and contact details. If the artist lives in a tower block, please add name of block; so we can try to arrange for the art to go into that block for display the following year.
