Dementia (Active) Friends Volunteer Project
Age UK Southampton is working in partnership with the Memory Advisor Service from Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust to help people in the early to moderate stages of dementia to continue to pursue the physical and social activities they enjoy.

We are urgently seeking to recruit more volunteers with a background in healthcare, social care services, community support or have personal experience of supporting someone with memory loss.

In return we will arrange training, on-going telephone and monthly support meetings.

All our volunteers are encouraged to be actively involved in the development of this project that is making a big difference for our clients, their families and carers.

If you are interested or would like more information please call Phil Williams or Andy Fulford at Age UK Southampton on 023 8036 8636 or email on: or Via Facebook Southampton’s Communities
